WHAT IS YOUR PELVIC FLOOR?

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissues that stretch from the pubic bone to the tailbone and hold the pelvic organs in place and stabilize the spine. A healthy pelvic floor can contract, squeeze, lift, relax, and fully contract to fully relax.

Just like any other muscle group, the pelvic floor can become weak or tight, leading to a variety of health issues. Often overlooked by men, pelvic floor physical therapy offers a powerful and effective treatment for problems like prolonged bladder and bowel issues, pain, and discomfort.
