You Deserve Healing —Not Just "Getting By"

WHAT IS YOUR PELVIC FLOOR?

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues located at the base of your pelvis. Think of it like a hammock or sling that stretches from your pubic bone in the front to your tailbone in the back, and side to side between your sit bones.

These muscles support some of the most important parts of your body, including your: bladder, uterus (womb) and rectum (lower bowel). Your pelvic floor muscles play a crucial role in your everyday health and wellness by helping with: bladder control, bowel control , sexual function, core support, pregnancy and childbirth, and postpartum recovery – healing after birth, whether vaginal or C-section. If you have low back pain, hip pain, sciatica, abdomen pain or groin pain; pelvic floor therapy can help.

Your pelvic floor changes through life

Your pelvic floor changes over time and may need extra care during: puberty and periods, pregnancy and postpartum, menopause and aging, after surgeries or injuries, and caring for your pelvic floor is an essential part of whole-body wellness—just like taking care of your heart, joints, or mental health.

Common postpartum pelvic floor problems:

pessary fittings and maintenance for pelvic organ support

Pessary devices offer non-surgical relief for pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence by providing internal support to the pelvic floor. At Heart and Sole Therapy, we specialize in custom pessary fittings and ongoing maintenance to ensure comfort, proper function, and long-term support. Our experienced eam will guide you through the fitting process and provide personalized care to help you manage symptoms and improve daily comfort with confidence.

postpartum depression

your body isn’t broken

Postpartum depression (PPD) is a common and serious mental health condition that affects many women after childbirth. It can occur any time during the first year after delivery, and the symptoms can vary in intensity. Recognizing the signs early and seeking support can make a significant difference in recovery.

When to Seek Immediate Help

If you are experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, it is essential to get immediate help from a mental health professional or contact a helpline. PPD can sometimes lead to more serious conditions like postpartum psychosis, which requires urgent care.

what our clients are saying?

Britta Dalbey connected so well with my daughter and helped to evaluate her speech needs and develop and implement a treatment plan. I knew I wanted her to help with my son when we discovered he needed help with speech as well. She proved just as invaluable with him. We saw excellent results and my kids always looked forward to visits with Britta.

Courtney is amazing! She is very understanding, listens, asks questions, and really gets up in your business, which is a good thing if you want a strong, respectable, and straight forward therapist. I felt extremely comfortable when telling her all about myself. She does not make you feel embarrassed or self-conscious at all. I would recommend. . .
