Heart and Sole Therapy

our pelvic health services

men, pregnancy, postpartum, pediatric and women

Pelvic Health Therapy is a therapy that can be uniquely customized to each individual person. We know that most pregnant and postpartum women don’t get the support they need from the traditional healthcare system to care for themselves and manage pelvic floor challenges. Most men don’t even know that pelvic floor therapy is an option for them AND most parents are left in the dark to deal with their child’s pelvic floor dysfunction.

At Heart and Sole Pelvic Therapy when we say ‘that’s not normal’ what we mean is, it is not something you should have to live with. It is something you can rehabilitate and improve. We can give you the guide in strengthening and coordinating pelvic floor muscles, learning how to breathe and move in a way that supports the pelvic floor, these symptoms that so many live with for years can be drastically improved as soon as a few weeks.

men’s pelvic health

Men’s pelvic health refers to the health of the muscles and tissues that support the bladder, rectum, and prostate. Pelvic floor issues can affect urination, bowel movements, and sexual function. Aging, surgery (especially prostate surgery), obesity, chronic coughing, and heavy lifting can effect the function of a man’s pelvic health.

pregnancy & postpartum

Bringing new life into the world is a joyful and momentous event that deserves a celebration. However, pregnancy and childbirth puts a considerable amount of strain on a woman’s body. The pelvic, core, and hip muscles change drastically throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period.

pediatric pelvic health

A strong and properly functioning pelvic floor is vital for children to develop appropriate bowel and bladder control. Pediatric pelvic floor dysfunction affects at least 20% of school aged children worldwide.

women’s pelvic health

Women deserve more! Access and awareness to services that provide a holistic approach for relief of common, but NOT normal, conditions. Pelvic floor therapy for women goes beyond kegels.

pelvic floor questionnaires

if you answer yes to 3 or more, you or your child could benefit from pelvic floor therapy

A pelvic floor questionnaire is a simple tool used to assess symptoms related to bladder, bowel, and pelvic health. It helps identify issues such as incontinence, pelvic pain, or prolapse by asking about daily function and discomfort. By completing this questionnaire, you provide import

ant information that guides diagnosis, treatment planning, and progress tracking. Your answers help us better understand how your pelvic floor is affecting your quality of life.

If you answer yes to 3 or more questions; share it with your doctor, urologist/gynecologist to get a referral to one of our pelvic floor therapists to understand your symptoms better and tailor your care. You can also retake the questionnaires to notice improvements or identify lingering issues.

Let’s face it. Cancer SUCKS! After having a complete hysterectomy as part of my treatment for cancer, I experienced incontinence. I sought out a PT for help. The exercises that I was given helped but then I decided to kick up the amount of kegels that I was doing. To say that I was overzealous is an understatement! I created a new problem. Intimacy with my husband became painful and if I’m being honest, I still had a “drip” after voiding. My oncologist sent me to Heart and Sole for pelvic Physical Therapy. My first visit with Bri left me confident that I would not have to suffer with painful intimacy or need to use a pad and eventually a diaper for incontinence! After 4 visits, I am pain free and dry! Bri is REAL! There isn’t an uncomfortable issue that Bri can’t address with candor honesty and a bit of levity. The only thing that you should be doing after reading this, is make an appointment with Bri! Here’s to your complete health!

Thanks to you and ALL your help. I did not tear!! I pushed 4-5 times and baby came pretty quickly. Peppermint was the winner for my first pee. Thank you so much Bri!
